Q&A: Sizing on womens body briefers?

Question by : Sizing on womens body briefers?
I am male (NOT gay), but wish to wear a women’s body briefer. I wear a 38A bra and most of these items seem to be sized S-M-L or 38B (as an example). Would the 38B fit or would there be an issue with the cups being too big.

I’m giving you a straight answer of this (no pun intended). Women’s clothing sizes, including underwear, are notoriously nonstandard. Depending on the brand and style, even bra sizes can vary. That’s why you might be able to wear a 38A comfortably in one style or manufacture, but another label’s 38A is too tight in the band area or too large in the cups. Briefers are no exception, and how well you fit into one also depends on your overall shape. Men and women are built differently so an all-over bodysuit meant for a female would be shaped to fit a woman’s waist and hips–not just her top. The only way you will know for sure is to try on the garments before you buy them. Depending on state health laws, some places won’t take back undergarments after they leave the store.
Body briefers should also come in XL, XXL, and bigger sizes as well. But one size L (large) can actually be bigger than another company’s XL (extra large). Sometimes ordering things through a catalog and online can help a bit if the order page offers general body measurements for their clothing and some lingerie.

However, I have more than one bra or panty that I either ordered or bought from the store (that I couldn’t or didn’t try on first) that won’t fit for one reason or another. (I’m a biological female)
